Online Assessment of Immune Health
How Healthy is Your Immune System?
Assessment of Immune Health
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) takes a customized approach to medicine and its treatments are tailored to the individual. Herbal medicine, acupuncture and acupressure protocols, and diet and lifestyle recommendations will be different depending on your constitution.
When it comes to your immune health, recommendations are based on which immune type you fall into. I have narrowed down the immune types into three categories:
- Damp type;
- Blocked type; and
- Deficient type
Take this online assessment (for FREE) to determine the health of your immune system, your individual immune type, and get customized diet and lifestyle recommendations.
Damp Type
Dampness refers to heavy sluggish thick fluids that have accumulated in the body. A weak digestion, poor diet, excessive worrying, and an external damp environment can all contribute to having a damp immune type. Dampness will weigh the body down, interfere with proper energy flow, and build up mucus and phlegm.Â
Blocked Type
The blocked type here refers to someone with lack of proper flow of Qi (vital energy) due to congestion in the Liver organ system. In Chinese medicine, this is called Liver Qi stagnation and can be a result of unfulfilled desires, anger, frustration, environmental toxins, a poor diet, or a sedentary lifestyle. People with liver Qi stagnation feel “stuck” and “blocked” hence the name “blocked type”.Â
Deficient Type
The deficient type refers to a deficiency of Qi (vital energy). This relates to the lungs, spleen and kidney organ systems failing to produce adequate levels of Qi to meet the body’s needs. Qi deficiency can be inherited at birth or a result of weak digestion, overwork, and illness.Â
